An oak-shaded haven in the northern part of Miami-Dade County, Greynolds Park is a favorite for runners, golfers, and other outdoor enthusiasts.
The park is richly landscaped with native and exotic plants, including mangrove, royal palms, palmettos, pampas grass, sea grapes, gumbo limbo, and cocoplum. Distinctive original sculpture enhances the atmosphere.
The nine-hole, par-36 golf course measures 3,090 yards from the championship red tees. If you're just a beginner, a variety of private and group lessons are available.
The park also contains a par-course, beach volleyball courts, a children's playground, and plenty of picnic tables, shelters, and grills - most of them shaded by the beautiful spreading oaks.
During the week, admission to Greynolds Park is free. On Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays, the cost is $4 per vehicle, and $6 per bus. Pets are prohibited.
East Greynolds Park is a smaller park located on the eastern side of U.S. 1 from the main park. Like Greynolds Park, East Greynolds Park offers beautiful oak-canopied areas, and plenty varieties of indigenous and exotic vegetation. It also offers a beach volleyball court, an open play area, and a canoe launching area. Hours and admission prices are the same as Greynolds Park.
